Rules, actions and agents can overlap

Jomo is a strong candidate if you want to design reusable Apple-device routines and decide which action earns access. Badger is worth considering if you want its personal agent involved in your iPhone plan and the option to ask an outside assistant to request a block. This is not a comparison of AI against a simple timer: Jomo explicitly offers AI proof among its unlock mechanisms.

Design the return to access

Jomo's feature documentation describes sessions, app groups, strict settings and reusable templates. Its unlock choices include AI proof, giving a reason, waiting, copying text, a password and a QR code. Those are different kinds of commitment. A reader who wants a known, repeatable prerequisite may prefer choosing the rule in advance.

Consider a recurring evening routine: leave messaging available, block selected feeds, and choose an action before reopening them. A configurable routine can be helpful when you already know the boundary you want. A second plausible use is coordinating Apple-device focus with templates or Focus integration. Jomo documents Apple Health integration too; check its permission prompts and eligible plan before assuming a particular health-based action is available.

AI proof is a specific feature

An AI proof check evaluates evidence for an unlock condition. A personal agent is a broader interaction pattern. Badger's own agent can help shape the action connected to access and adapt the plan when you explain changed circumstances. The distinction concerns the workflow described by each product, not a judgment that one use of AI is more intelligent.

Badger also supports an optional external assistant connection for authorized iPhone app groups. It can receive reasoned block/unblock requests, but does not expose app membership, usage history or confirmed device state. Active commitments may reject requests. If the tool accepts one, verify the result on the iPhone. No reviewed Jomo source establishes an equivalent external conversational-assistant connection; that is an evidence boundary, not proof that no integration could ever exist.

Apple-device coverage and setup

Jomo targets iPhone, iPad and Mac. Its Mac documentation includes app/site blocking, keywords and website rules. Do not assume the Mac and iPhone permission models or features match exactly. If distractions move between your Mac and iPhone, that coverage is a real reason to inspect Jomo rather than treating both products as phone-only substitutes.

Install the version for each device you intend to control and start with a small app group. Check that essential tools remain accessible, then test the block and chosen release condition. Before enabling a strict setting, understand what changes it permits. Vendor claims of absolute protection is not an independent bypass test, and this comparison makes no such guarantee for either product.

Plans and configuration cost

Jomo's pricing page lists a free plan, $29.99 annual, $99.99 single purchase and a $14.99 student annual option, all in USD, with possible taxes. The plan matrix contains quantity limits; do not assume an old description of unlimited sessions applies to the current offer. Verify eligibility and feature allocation before purchasing.

Also budget for the configuration you are willing to maintain. A routine with several sessions and unlock actions can be valuable if you like specifying the rules. If you would rather discuss an intention and its obstacles, try Badger's agent workflow. There is no established Badger plan price here and no claim that one purchase model is universally better.

Questions that matter on Apple devices

Does Jomo use AI? Yes, it advertises AI proof; calling it non-AI would be misleading. Can Jomo block on a Mac? It documents a Mac product, whose setup should be evaluated separately. Which should I choose for explicit unlock rules? Jomo deserves a close look. Choose Badger when its personal agent or optional external-assistant workflow is the reason you are adding a tool. Compare Refocus if granular unlock controls are your main priority.
